(Christine holds mask in hand and trembles away from the Phantom. He has one hand covering his distored face. Raoul rushes to the scene, fearing for Christine as he thinks she has pulled off his mask)

Raoul-hey that wasn't in the bet

Christine*sings*-I gotta say whats on my mind. Something about us doesn't seem right these days. Life keeps getting in the way. Whenever we try to have some plans its always rearanged. Its so hard to say, but I gotta do whats best for me. You'll be okay...I'VE GOT TO MOVE ON AND BE WHO I AM! I JUST DON'T BELONG HERE, I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND, WE MIGHT FIND YOUR PLACE IN THIS WORLD SOMEDAY. But at least for now...i gotta go my own way.
